Bio
My Story so far: Previously I experienced a nearly thirty year career in the United Kingdom, carrying out non-profit work, largely with excluded children and young adults. This ranged from front facing service delivery, to project management and quality improvement to innovation and workforce development. I also enjoyed in parallel, years of personal and spiritual development, which I hardly ever explicitly brought into my work.
Towards the end of this phase nearly seven years ago I began a relationship with my now wife who is Dutch. Initially we commuted between London and Amsterdam for three years. Then I moved to the Netherlands four years ago and got married. Since I moved, I decided I wanted to realize a long held dream, to integrate my spiritual depth and wisdom with my professional knowledge and develop a commercial enterprise, which are the pillars of my leadership development business ‘Generative You’. I also teach English one day a week in a small, very unique high school which has an integrated, holistic approach to education.
To build a new network of connections and meet like minded people in my new country of residence, I have praticpated in the Ulab 1x Mooc three times, and hosted an Amsterdam Ulab hub twice and co-delivered two Ulab2 x systems change programmes with a third application pending. Since this time last year, I began to more specifically orient my business towards leadership development for education. This is to primarily enable teachers and hence students to bridge the social spiritual and ecological divides. One of the forms to do so currently is through Otto Scharmer’s notion of Vertical Literacy. Another is to convene in the Netherlands in 2021 a (Re)generative Learning Conference, as well as launch my first leadership course the Art and Practice of Generative Leadership
